Swiss Alpine Macaroni (Älplermagronen)
A classic Swiss dish of creamy macaroni, potatoes, cheese, and bacon, served with apple mousse for a touch of sweetness.

- 350 g macaroni
- 400 g potatoes
- 3 dl (300ml) cream
- 6 dl (600ml) vegetable stock
- 80 g grated Gruyère cheese
- 2 large onions
- 4 small garlic cloves
- 200 g bacon cubes
- 400 g apple-mousse (store-bought or homemade)
Gather all the ingredients
Dice potatoes and slice onions and garlic
Boil macaroni and potatoes in cream and stock for 9 minutes
Fry bacon, garlic and onions until golden
Stir Gruyère into the paste, the mix with the bacon mixture
Serve with apple mousse and enjoy!
